World Habitat Awards 2014-15 – finalists announced

The ten finalists for the 2014-15 World Habitat Awards have been chosen from over 200 projects, from over 80 countries around the globe.  

From initiatives focusing on homeless or marginalised people, large-scale lighting projects or finance models as well as community self-build in indigenous communities, this year’s finalists illustrate an impressive breadth of good practice in housing led by inspiring people worldwide.

  • Upgrading of Audi União Shantytown, Curitiba - Brazil
  • Rural Habitat Improvements - El Salvador
  • Y-Foundation - Finland 
  • Indigenous People Building Their Homes - Mexico
  • Build Back Safer with Traditional Construction Methods - Pakistan
  • Liter of Light - Philippines
  • Nochlezhka - Russia
  • Social Housing in Supportive Environments - Serbia 
  • Social Inclusion and Improvement of Living Conditions for Roma - Serbia
